Beautiful. By the way Mo, what kind of paper do use, or how do you prepare it for oil?

i didn't prepare it for this painting. it works fine for painting, although there is a chance that the paper will get destroyed in future. but it was more of a sketch/study to me so it hasn't mattered to me. i've bought some paper made do be painted with oil in the mean time. do you paint with oils on paper?

I too have done oils on Canson paper for some quick studies. But think that the colors were dulled because the paper sucked the oil out of the paint. I have bought some Arches paper designed for oils and hope to try it soon. I also recently got some Aquarious 2 watercolor paper, coated it with acrylic medium, and will try that too. This paper has some fiberglass content and doesn't curl much when coated. I also have painted on denim cloth bought from a fabric store - I usually just put a couple of layers of clear gesso on to seal it (it makes for an interesting blue toned surface with lots of tooth). Best, Barrie

I love the contrast between the blue background and the scarlet around the eyes. Very emotional. I hope that painting helps your distortion and helps you feel better.

Sehr schöne Arbeit, die roten Akzente sind ein sehr schöner Eyecatcher und guter Kontrast zu den eher kühlen, zurückhaltenden Blautönen. Well done my dear

Ja das stimmt, wenn man genau hinschaut, kann man es vielleicht erahnen. Es kann aber auch an meinem shitty Monitor liegen :'D

On paper :noes:
This painting is bit creepier than your old ones. Is that a change of mood or something ?

hey sufian, to me the good thing about pain is the inspiration and growth it creates.
i feel like it is pushing me forward in my art. so i can take it more
easily than i probably would without the possibility of painting.
i'd like to see your painting. :) do you have it somewhere?
